David has over 15 years of experience in the financial services industry, specializing in partnering with financial advisors nationwide to create tailored strategies that meet their clients’ unique needs. His expertise spans investment selection, portfolio construction, and comprehensive financial and estate planning. As a licensed Investment Adviser Representative with a Series 65, David is well-equipped to guide clients through complex financial decisions.

A Florida native, David earned his degree in Economics from the University of Florida’s College of Agricultural and Life Sciences, focusing on Food and Agribusiness Management. This background has given him valuable insights into how financial tools can help mitigate risks for both agribusinesses and individuals alike.

Throughout his career, David has lived in Chicago, IL, and Fayetteville, AR, before settling in Minnesota over a decade ago. It was there that he met his wife, Liz, and together they are raising two sons, Walker and Robert, with a third on the way in May 2025. The Ulm family has always loved sports, but these days, you’ll find them spending most of their time on outdoor rinks teaching their boys how to skate. What used to be a golf household is quickly becoming a hockey household.
